Blocking USB Storage Devices by Group Policy
I want to disable USB Storage devices on some computers except those of Managers in our company. I have read this article http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/winserverDS/thread/3255d483-1be6-41a2-b6e3-33317e7c4d13 and this KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555324 but what I want is that how do I make some computers (those of Managers) not be disabled and disabling the rest? In other words how do I make two categories, one to be disabled and the other not to be disabled? Or is it possible to use user accounts so that other users can access it while others cannot? Whichever way is possible be it user configuration or computer configuration I will appreciate. I want to do it using Group Policy. regards, Funflex

Hi, As per my practice I use GP on user level and you can achieve this task by applying the policy on user level also I will suggest you that post this question on AD forums where you will get more detailed answers. Here is the link for GP forum http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverGP/threads I hope this will help you. Regards. Shafaquat Ali.
