Hello, Could i used BES Express 5.0.4 on Exchange 2013 ? Thanks This is really a question for RIM, so I would ask them. This is their current support matrix: http://us.blackberry.com/support/apps-and-software/enterprise-server-compatibility.html#/h:/support/apps-and-software/enterprise-server-compatibility/compatibility-matrix.html

The answer to that question is no. From what I read it seems BES 10 is what you're waiting for. This new release supports not only new devices, it also uses Exchange ActiveSync to connect to both the devices and to connect to the Exchange 2013 server. RIM had to redesign their application anyways becuase current versions of BES make MAPI connections to Exchange, this is no longer possible because Echange 2013 supports Outlook Outlook Anywhere and no longer plain MAPI. More information (no mention of Exchange 2013 though): http://bizblog.blackberry.com/2012/08/blackberry-enterprise-service-1/ http://www.zdnet.com/blackberrys-bes-mess-no-more-express-server-version-says-rim-7000005487/ Did my post help? I have heard that RIM is currently testing BES 5.0.x with the MAPI/CDO package that MS will be providing for E2K13. It seems to me that this is what they will use to support E2K13 with BES. There are a lot of users on BES that won't be jumping immediately to the new BB10 platform.

I can share some experience, that I recently had. We had MS Exchange 2010 SP3 and we have almost successfully migrated to Exchange 2013. Before installing Exchange 2013 I have checked official compatibility matrix, where is clearly written that Blackberry Enterprise Server Express (version 5.0.4) supports Exchange 2013. But after some retries to configure Blackberry Enterprise Server Express, using official (very poor) step by step instructions, I was unable to accomplish my goal. So I had to move Blackberry phone users back to Exchange 2010 and now BB clients are on Exchange 2010 and others (Android, iOS, Symbian) are on Exchange 2013.

I cannot get my bes express 5.04 server to talk to our es2013 cu1 server for the life of me. The issue is the mapi / cdo. It gives me a password prompt when setting up a new mapi profile. The besadmin user / password does not work. I've followed all the directions i can find. Next step may be purchasing horrendous bberry support.

BES 10 does not support legacy phones ie anything other than bberry 10 phones. You still need a 5.04 server until your last device becomes a blackberry 10 device.
