Blackberry 'resent' all 'sent' email...?
Now, granted, I am sorta new to Exchange and how PDAs and such also connect tothe new"Hosted Exchange" service from our T-1 provider...But this is something I think is rather 'bizarre', and no one at the T-1 provider or Blackberry can (apparently) 'help' me with this question. So here I am on this Exchange forum...Yesterday, we 'upgraded' all the users desktop PCs to Outlook 2007 so they could access the "Hosted Exchange Server 2007" offered by the T-1 provider. All seemingly went well... eveyone 'synched' up and everything seemed to be fine... 'shared calendars' worked, shared contacts... etc. etc.So fine, I went home and had a beer...But this morning when one of the lawyers at this firm 'turned on' his Blackberry, within one hour, it seems that the Blackberry 're-sent' EVERY PIECE of email that was in this person's "sent items" folder. Over 1500 items were 're-sent' dating back almost two years... Uh.... Hmmm....I thought at first it was just some kind of 'glitch' in the way it 'appeared' in the Outlook 2007 client - but he's had almost 50 phone calls and innumerable emails from the recipients of these emails asking "...what the heck is going on...?"Needless to say, as the "IT guy", I am catching MAJOR 'heat' about this.. and I do not have an explanation as to why it happened...So ... does anyone have any ideas as to what this was all about? So far I've contacted the T-1 provider and Blackberry and am currently'on hold' with the 'service provider' for the Blackberry device... and I thought I may as well see if anyone else HERE has ever encountered something like this...Very strange, if you ask me....
