Best way to manage a messy mail platform
Hi guys, I've just started a new role in an organisation that has a large number of mail accounts across various domains - importantly, Exchange is running on SBS 2003. I've been tasked with trying to tidy up the way the company uses messaging and trying to find a way to make handling multiple mail accounts easy for the end user - just looking for some advice here please. situation is this... Organisation operates mutiple mail domains using different delivery methods. Domain1.com MX to Exchange server Domain2.co.uk POP3 via ISP Domain3.com POP3 via ISP Domain4.com MX to Exchange server Domain5.com POP3 via ISP Domain6.co.uk POP3 via ISP All users have a 'default' account on the Exchange server using Domain1.com Some users have POP3 mail added to their Outlook profiles with POP3 mail being delivered to their own inbox The issue I have is that when mail arrives in a users mailbox - it's difficult for them to know what domain address the email has been sent to. To make things even more complicated, some users may receive an email from Domain1.com, but then need to reply using another POP3 account. I hope this has desribed the issue in an understandable way - it's quite hard to understand unless you have an overview of how the business works. Hopefuly someone can help! Thanks

There is not enough information to provide good advice. At a high level it starts with where are you and want to be (strategy). If you want to standardise on one domain and access method, it is advisable to work out a plan with steps to meet your goal. Andrew Sword, MVP
