Most would probably vote for Trend ScanMail or ForeFront from Microsoft.

I use TrendMicro but I would definitely give a vote to ForeFront too....Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

I would agree. Im a long time Trend user but if I had to switch I would go to Forefront.

Trend is a good product but I would stay away from it if you are using CCR. Im currently using Trend on my cluster and have issues when failing over. Its very inconsistant and causues my stores not to mount. Ive contacted trend and they had stated to me that this was a known issue. They provided me a fix by creating a new cluster resource for the trend product but its still hit and miss.

I have switched most of the servers I manage from Trend and Symantec over to Forefront Security for Exchange. Performance is very good and the actual overhead is much lower than other products. On a side note, in CCR/SCC environments, I install Forefront on the cluster nodes, but only configure it for manual scanning, not real-time scanning. I do all my real-time scanning on the Hub Transport servers or at the perimeter. Since ALL e-mail sent through the HT servers, you can catch hostile content there. I install the antivirus server on the CCR cluster only in case I need to perform a manual scan. I'm interested to hear what others are doing. Jim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com
