Basic Exchange 2003 question
I have been monitoring my exchange 2003 mailbox store and I have noticted under the "logons" folder it shows who is logged in. My question is very simple, why are there multiple logons for the same user and all of the logons are of the same date and time? Just wondering what is going on. Just noticed this.....Thanks

What you are seeing is normal for Exchange server. Depending on how many messages are open and what the client is doing, you may have three or more logons to an Exchange mailbox database. I used to even remember which components of Outlook would do this, but have forgotten. Outlook maintains separate connections/logons for sending versus receiving messages as well as notifications, looking at another user's mailbox or calendar, free/busyupdates, etc... These multiple logons do not affect your licensing, though.HTH a bit. JimJim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com
