Basic Exchange 2003 licensing question
I'm going to replace our Windows 2003 server that is running Exchange 2003. I have the original Exchange 2003 media with Product Key and a document titled "Microsoft Open License Order Confirmation." It states "Volume Pricing Level = Z" and "License Program = OPEN." My question is can I install this copy of Exchange 2003 on my new server when it arrives?Checking with the original reseller is not an option. My company did business with them before I arrived. They are a local company that has dishonest business practices and I terminated our relationship with them under unfriendly circumstances.Any information is greatly appreciated.

You would get better answer from a Licensing Expert at Microsoft... Licensing Phone Support:http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/pur/phone.aspxAmit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Thanks Amit. Called the number listed and got a fast answer. He said the "Open License" meant I could transfer it to my new server. Only restriction is can't transfer to another server within 90 days of first install.
