Last night my exchange server was able to send mail but not receive mail. When I restarted the exchange and smtp services it changed nothing. When I restarted the server everything was fine for about 15min. This went on 3 or four times. Then mail would come in for a 2 hrs.and stop. Finally this morning after the restart it has been coming in for 6 hrs now. There are no errors anywhere to help with with the solution. My guess is a series of bad emails and when the server is rebooted it is flushed out. Is this possible?thanks for any help.

The badmail item should not cause your issue. I'll suggest follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257265/en-usto get more infromation log ,first.
