Backup Fail and Error 1159
Hi All I have a problem in My Exchange 2003 SP2. I have full backup everyday, and I can see from the Storage Group Properties the last time when the full backup happened. In strange way, I got the error 1159 and two storage groups were discounted and the backup stopped. I know this error happens due to large number of log files. When I checked the logs locations, I found remained logs for days supposed to be deleted due to the full backup. My questions are: - Which is happened first: the store dismount or the backup failure? - Why are the existed log files that supposed to be deleted by the full backup? - How Can I prevent the happening of such issue in future? - What are the reasons that make the un-expected growth of the log files and what is the normal situation? Thanks and Best Regards
