Back Up of Exchange Mailbox and Public Folder Databases is empty
Hi, I followed the directions in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc164324(EXCHG.65).aspxto backup our exchange server 2003 mailbox but it is empty. This is the report... The verify shows 0 files instead of 6. I ran the backup up a couple timeswith the same result. Does anyone know what is wrong? Don't forget you are not backing up any files. You are backing up exchange database which is becked up by APIs by backing up data from store. Your event has correctly logged how many bytes were backed up. It backed up around 351 MB of data. Would that be correct for all mailboxes you have on the server? Bytes: 368,092,048 Time: 11 seconds ----------------------

The 315mb is the right size.I followed the directions in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824126 to restore the Mailbox Store from the backup I created to a recovery storage group. This appeared to work successfully. Thanks for your reply.
