BPA: AD server name not working! I've only got one server!
I'm trying to install Exchange 07 SP1 on my Win Server 08 SP1 Standard. I have installed .Net 2.0, Powershell, and MMC. I am trying to now run the Best Practices Analyzer. I come to the step where it asks for the server name of the Active Directory, so I type in the computer name for the server which has the AD. I only have one server, and this is the same server that I'm trying to install Exchange on, so the name of this server is automatically filled in. Well, when you click to connect to this server, the response I get is "No Exchange container found in domain" How do I fix this?

Since exchange was not installed yet. Best practices analyzer couldn't locate any exchange server. so you better you can install exchange it has inbuilt exchange 2007 installation checklist. Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

HI, First I would like to let you know scenario which is you trying to do is not recommended by Microsoft .EXBPA give that error because you dont have any exchange server deployment in the server yet. So EXBPA cannot find any exchange Server in AD. Run EXBPA Readiness check before install exchange.Recourse======== Exchange 2007 Readiness Check now available in ExBPA http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/07/28/428506.aspxRegardsChinthaka
