Any number of things. The most common is where you are actually connecting to Exchange twice - once through BES and again through BIS. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP. http://blog.sembee.co.uk , http://exbpa.com/

The strange thing is that when I remove the user from the BES the user receives the e-mails as well although only one copy of e-mail. However when I add the user to the BES he receives three e-mails in total. On the OWA there is only one copy of each e-mail

If you remove the user from the BES and they continue to recieve emails then they are for sure using BIS for access. You will need to remove that configuration. That may well require a call to the service provider of the Blackberry to remove it. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP. http://blog.sembee.co.uk , http://exbpa.com/

I suggest you contact Blackberry support or write the post in a Blackberry forum to get help. Thanks, Elvis
