Trying to install Business Contact Manager BCM into Outlook 2010 windows 7 64bit. When I run the BCM database manager to install, I recieve an SQL error. "Cannot retrieve the list of SQL Server instances. Please make sure that SQL Server 2005 or greater is installed and that the service is running"

Please go to our Microsoft download center and download SQL Server Management Studio Express.

This will allow you to detach the database, move the files to another folder, then re-attach the database.

Seems like this solution in not correct.

The problem is BCM cannot retrieve the list of SQL instances.

Since it installs SQL 2008 it is there it is SP2 it works fine from within Management Studio and 2 different apps can use a db I create there the problem must be in BCM.

I did try the detach- reattach with no success to the original problem
