Autoreply stuck in loop
Hi Using Exchange 2003. There is an email on the system, which seems to be in some kind of loop. If I open Exchange System Manager, then goto Message Tracking Centre, then click Track Message, it generates a huge list. It seems to have started from an Out of Office reply to an external mail, but the recipient on that mail is incorrectly marked as belonging to my company. I've saved some of the XML dump below, replacing my real company name with TestCompany. There is no "Helen Carty"@TestCompany.ie working here. How can I get rid of this email? <Subject>Out of Office AutoReply: Managing longevity risk training course - save 15% by booking before 23 July</Subject> <EntryType>1027</EntryType> <RecipientCount>1</RecipientCount> <Priority>0</Priority> <Size>1809</Size> - <Recipients> - <Recipient> <RecipientAddress>"Helen Carty"@TestCompany.ie</RecipientAddress> <RecipientStatus>0</RecipientStatus>

Can you not flush the Q? is someone sending to this address continously, are you able to track the sender?Thiyagu | MCTS/MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE 2003[Messaging] | http://www.myExchangeWorld.com. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

No its was only sent once - this is one email that came in and the Out of Office has replied to an incorrect address. It should have been Helen.Carty@externalcompany.com, instead its changed to TestCompany. I tried deleting the message from the queue, but it appears again within a few minutes. Likewise, Freeze has no effect. Thanks

What Q does it sit in? Is it already more than 24/48 hrs, usually after that the message will expire.Thiyagu | MCTS/MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE 2003[Messaging] | http://www.myExchangeWorld.com. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi, Whether the OOF was turned off for the recipient? The message was submitted from the MAPI client and came into the SMTP mailbox for Categorize. Thus, please refer to the below to clear the SMTP temptable: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;906557 Thanks Allen
