Hello, I am looking for a way to automate updating the on-call recipient. For instance, we have an on-call calendar that changes daily between 7 people. Each day there is a new on-call person. Currently we are updating the "On-Call" distribution group manually each day with the correct person. We would like the distribution group to update automatically based on the calendar entry OR a predetermined list of some sort that an Exchange powershell script can read and update automatically. Please let me know if you can help me achieve this or if you can point me to a developer that can create this for us. A third party software solution is an option as well. Thanks

You should read about Dynamic Distribution Groups , http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123722.aspx It updates Automatically, We can Specify from Specific OU , Custom Attribute , More Recipient Filters are available to get them Updated automatically. Thanks, I don't see how dynamic distribution groups would work since the on-call schedule rotates and changes. This is something that would need to be done without making changes to user attributes.

Is there anything Common where those 7 users will be ? --- No Dynamic Distribution Groups will work for respective to Calendar Entry -- If you are going to Select 7 Random ppl to the meeting , Exchange cannot understand update them to the Distribution Group -- If there is going to be something common between them . then we can do something.
