Automatically replace outgoing mail server on Outlook 2010 and 2013 clients

Hi,

Is it possible to configure outlook so that:

1. An existing mail profile linked to an Exchange account is opened
2. The outgoing mail server in the profile is replaced with another server.

I'm working on an Exchange migration project for 500 users. Our users use Outlook 2010 and 2013. A a large number of users have local PST files. For historical PST access, we temporarily want to provide users access to Outlook PST files during the migration and co-existence phases, we will also be configuring the user's Exchange account to be unable to send and receive mail.

Ideally allowing users to natively reply with Outlook to emails within PSTs would be great during the migration. What I want to know is if it's possible to replace just the outgoing server in the mail profile of an Exchange user? So far I've not seen this option with an Exchange user profile.

I know you can configure Outlook via GPO, but I haven't seen any GPO settings to replace just the outgoing mail server for an Exchange account. In addition, looking at the Office 2010 policies (User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Microsoft Outlook 2010\Account Settings") there isn't an option to automatically configure an IMAP profile.

I want to avoid having to completely reconfigure Outlook as we don't have the manpower.

Thanks
