Automatic forward external email with a message
We are converting a large number of our users from having mailboxes on an Exchange 2003 server to an external Exchange service. To prepare for this we would like to make a rule to Automaticly Forward all emails to the new email address. For example all email to auser@inhouse.org would go to auser@outside.org . It looks like we can do this with either a client rule - via outlook or a server rule - via custom recepient and deleivery options. But we also want to send a message that there is a new email address for the user back to the sender. Again for example - "auser@inhouse.org's new emil address is auser@outside.org, Thank You". We mostly want the message to go to extenal mail senders. I an looking into how to do this with Outlook but would rather do it on the server side. Is this possible?

How about using Out-of-Office? It's server-side, and you can easily restrict the replies to external emails.[string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

Yes, you can use ADModiy to set the “Forward to” option on all mailboxes, let them to send a copy to a mailbox called “E-Mail address Change Notification”, and then set the OOF on it.
