If you are using Exch 2007 or 2010, you can create a Transport rule. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd351127.aspx Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

In Exchange 2003 it is called Message Journaling, but not sure if it will allow you to specify a single user. We use Websense's Email Security product to do things like this since it gives us granular options. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Implementing-Exchange-2003-Message-Journaling.html Doug Phillips

Hi, If you are using Exchange server 2007 or 2010, please refer the following steps, but keep in mind that you should have permission from upper management. To achieve your goal, you can organize a transport rule just mentioned by Tim. 1. Conditions: We choose “from people” and select the user by clicking the underlined value. And next, we choose “sent to people” and select the manager by clicking the underlined value. 2. Actions: We choose “Blind carbon copy (BCC) the message to addresses”, and then you can specify the user whom you want to send the copy by clicking the underlined value. And in Exchange server 2003, message journaling will capture all messages from users on a specific user mailbox database and sends the copy to a specific journaling mailbox. And it consumes much more disk space on your Exchange server. So I recommend you to configure “Forward to” on the mailbox of manager, it can send the copy to a specific mailbox which from anyone to the mailbox of the manager. If you would like to have a try, please follow the steps below: Start-> Administrative Tools-> Active Directory and Computer-> choose the mailbox of manager->Properties-> click Delivery Options button-> select Forward to-> click Modify button-> select the person you want to send the copy to-> OK->select Deliver messages to both forwarding address and mailbox-> OK Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Best regards, Serena

You marked the Exchange 2007 or 2010 posts as the answer, but what if they are using 2003? There are still a great deal of SMBs on 2003.Doug

Best regards, Serena Hi Sreana, I agree with you ...what about if the manager is configuring out off office message. So my suggesion would be better to create one more transport rule for for disabling out off office message from manager to the tracking user.
