Autodiscover prompt user credentials Exchange 2010 cross forest Migration
Hi all, I'm migrating from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2010 from different forests.
Registration autodiscover.domain.com I have it pointing to the forest source
When I migrate users using Outlook 2007 continuously asks for credentials ancient forest autodiscover record.
The Outlook 2007 are configured manually with the mail system proxy target.

Hi
How about have try with this thread
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/b3a7309d-6f7e-48cb-aa4a-f30bc08b9267
Ask the user to type https://autodiscover.company.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml URL in his Internet Browser.
The workaround would be to modify the host file but it would then won't work with Outlook Anywhere...

Hi Zi, what I think is happening is that as autodiscover.domain.com records exist, the mail client, which already migrated finds and does not have the credentials, as the autodiscover points to the source forest, question the user credentials.
What I need is to disable autodiscover in customers migrated, or delete records for the duration of the migration autodiscover then create them again for the new settings to work with autodiscover.
Is there a problem if I delete records autodiscover? Do users that are configured in the ancient forest that have not yet been migrated will have problems?
This only happens with Outlook 2007
I found this to do on each client:
1. Click Start, click Run, and then type regedit.
2. Navigate to the Following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 12.0 \ Outlook \ AutoDiscover
3. Following Set the values for the Value Names listed below:
"PreferLocalXML" = dword: 1
"ExcludeHttpRedirect" = dword: 0
"ExcludeHttpsAutoDiscoverDomain" = dword: 1
"ExcludeHttpsRootDomain" = dword: 1
"ExcludeScpLookup" = dword: 1
"ExcludeSrvLookup" = dword: 1
"ExcludeSrvRecord" = dword: 1

Hello, I'm thinking of removing autodiscover records the duration of the migration:
autodiscover.domain.com (A)
_autodiscover_.domain.com (SRV)
Does this affect users who are already working in the old platform? Does it affect devices that are configured with autodiscover or all, or none?
