Autodiscover cant populate outlook with server info

Hi,

Outlook cannot auto populate server information even tho Auto Discover tests are passing just fine through remote connectivity analyser, however, the link https://mail.mydomain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml can be access from outside network but cant be accessed from inside. my internal domain is .local and external is .com. outside DNS is pointing to internet facing IP of the router and port 443 is port forwarded to exchange server.

any help?

Hi,

I noticed that AutoDiscover have passed the test  through remote connectivity analyse.

Please confirm whether the issue happens to all users or specific users to narrow the issue to client side or server side.

If the issue occurs on all users, we could run the following command to check the autodiscover service.

Get-ClientAccessServer | FL Identity,AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri

We could check the autodiscover service with the AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri value to get the returned error code in IE. Also check the browsing following  similar URL in your browser:

https://autodiscover.mydomain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

if the error code is not 600,please run the below command:

Set-ClientAccessServer -Identity servername  AutoDiscoverServiceInternalUri https://mail.mydomain.com/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml

Then restart IIS service by running IISReset from a Command Prompt window to have a try.

regards,

David

Hello

and if manual configure outlook can connect to exchange? if yes please run config test from outlook and share logs

Yes it does and there are no issues with connectivity tests. I just noticed that the  Lync Server Centralized Logging Service Agent service cant start. can that be a problem and why that service is not starting? it just says operation terminated unexpectedly

Hello,

1. Set Autodiscover SCP to https://mail.mydomain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

2. Add internal DNS record mail.mydomain.com to your CAS

3. Make sure all the internalurl of the Virtual Directories are set properly.

Thanks,
