Autoarchive new folders by default

I am using Outlook 2013.  I have turned on autoarchive through File->Options->Advanced->AutoArchive->AutoArchive Settings, and selecting "Run autoarchive every X days"

The autoarchive works fine.  However, when I create a new folder the folder initial autoarchive settings found through:

Right Click->Properties->Autoarchive

is to have selected "Do not archive items in this folder" rather than "Archive items in this folder using the default settings".

This means that every time I create a new folder I need to remember to turn out its autoarchive.  This is a recipe for disaster.  Is there a way to change this behavior?
Thanks,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

AutoArchive options are not enabled for new folders created in Outlook by default. There is no option to change this, we will have to change the settings manually.

Or, we can change the default AutoArchive settings in File > Options > Advanced > AutoArchive Settings, and then use the "Apply these settings to all folders now" option to apply the default AutoArchive settings to all folders that already exists in Outlook option to apply the settings. But this option doesn't work for newly created folders, either.
