Auto generated email to outside address do not reach client
Exchange 2007; Auto sending notifications to outside domain address do not reach client . If you manually send the same email to the same address it works. We have tried to send to multiple different address outside our domain and they will not go if rules are sent to auto Forward. but if you key the address in manually and send email they will arrive. Auto forward doe work for email sent to internal address.

Is it NDR's that your autogenerating? Perhaps said client is set not to accept them. Does this happen sending to all domains or just 1? If its just 1, then that domain is probably setup to not accept incoming DSNs.

No not NDR's. I'm setting up Rules in Outlook to forward mail to an out side email address. When I manually send the email it works, but when I set the rule to Auto forward toANY outside email address it does not reach the client. I'm not getting any errors and Im positive the rules are working because I use a local domain address in the same rule and the forwards are being sent to that address.

I am also having this issue. If I send to an internal address, the message goes and I have an entry in my Sent Items. If I try to send to an outside address, nothing happens and nothing in the Sent Items. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the Hub transport on Remote domain tab. Right click default and choose allow automatic forwards.
