Yes, you can create a MRM Managed Folder Policy to auto-delete sent items after certain days... No, you can assign the policy, which you created for deleting mails from sent items, to single user also with Set-Mailbox cmdlet... Set-Mailbox UserName -ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy "SentItemDeletionPolicyName"Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Yes Correct! As Amit said that it can be applied to a single Mailbox as well. Creating a new managed default folder will clear your confusion. To precise please follow the instructions below to create a Managed Folder, managed content setting, Mailbox policy and link it to the mailbox. Create a managed folder named "Sent Items - 3 Day Retention" under Manged default folder tab in EMC or execute the below command... New-ManagedFolder -Name "Sent Items - 3 Day Retention" -DefaultFolderType "Sent Items" Create a managed content settings for this newly created folder under Managed Default Folder Tab in EMC or execute the below command in EMS... New-MangedContentSettings -Name "SentItemsContentSettings" -Foldername "Sent Items - 3 Day Retention" -MessageClass "All Mailbox Content" -AgelimitforRetention 3 -RetentionAction PermanentlyDelete -RetentionEnabled:$true Create a Managed Folder Mailbox Policy from EMC and link it to recently Create Managed Folder or execute the below command from EMC... New-ManagedFOldermailboxpolicy -Name "Sent Item mailbox Policy" -ManagedFolderLinks "Sent Items - 3 Day Retention" Apply this policy to desired user by below command... Set-Mailbox -id "User name" -ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy "Sent Item Mailbox Policy" Start the managed folder assistant executing below command... Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -Mailbox "user Name" Let us know how it goes. Thanks. Vishal Ramnani | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE Messaging | MCTS - Win 2008 Config
