Hi Everybody, I've got two separate AD domains/ exchange organisations (Exchange 2007, with Outlook 2007) whose users both share the same boardroom. Can anybody suggest a solution that will enable users in both domains to share the same calendar or resource mailbox? I've tried everything. The closest I've come is to set up a resource mailbox on one domain and enable automatic meeting acceptance, but this only works for users authenticated in the same domain as the resource mailbox. If users from the other domain send a meeting request, that appointment is not automatically accepted, and I can't find any way of changing this behaviour. I am totally grateful for any help with this problem. Cheers, Jude

Hi, Cross forest calendar sharing is a new feature in exchange 2010, federated sharing required at-least one exchange 2010 CAS server, have a look into these articles : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638083.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125182.aspx Exchange 2010 will allow users cross forest to share free/busy info, calendars and contacts via the new federations features in this version. Hi Jude, This behaviour is by design. When Resource Mailbox accepting the meeting request from the organizer, Exchange 2007 will match the user in the GAL, it will not process the meeting request and moves it to deleted items without sending response since the user is external user. To workaround this issue, please perform the following steps: 1, Set-MailboxCalendarSettings <resource mailbox name> -processexternalmeetingmessages $true 2, Create the contact for the organizer in the Exchange server. If all the users need to book Resource Mailbox, you should use MIIS 2003 to synchronize the global address lists. Thanks Allen

We're having the same problem. We use inter org replication w/ another company and that company cannot book rooms even though we enabled processexternalmeetings. I can see the meeting request is immediately moved to deleted items folder. Any suggestions? Thanks, Coco

Having the same issue here. I can see the meeting request in the deleted items folder, but the request is not accepted. Are there any workarounds not including creating a contact?

It has to do with Exchange trusting (or authenticating) the source of the meeting request.
