AutoArchive removes local mail

Hello,

We recently had an issue where a user enabled auto-archive and suddenly all of their local mail had to be redownloaded.  If they cancel the download before it completely finishes updating all of their mailboxes it will start over again the next time it connects to the mail server.  I checked their settings and did not find anything that would delete their inbox.  They said that they usually have no issues with using autoarchive, as I saw that they had a fairly large amount of mail archived in their PST.

If we let the inbox completely update all of their mailboxes the issue is resolved, however we'd like to know if this is normal or some sort of bug?

Hi Steven,

What do you mean "let the inbox completely update all of their mailboxes"?

Do you mean the offline Outlook Data File (.ost) when you said the "local mail"?

What's the version of Outlook is in use?

If only one user is affected, try create a new profile to check if it could be caused by the corrupted data files.
