Auto-Configuration of Outlook 2010 Client
dear all, I have a setup of EX1 and EX2 over 2 sites grouped under DAG in Exch2010. Recently, due to some hardware fault, we moved a Active database of EX1 to EX2. When the error was fixed, we moved it back again. Now when we set up new mailboxes in EX1, the Active mailbox will be shown as EX1 but when it was configured in the Outlook using Automatic Configure, it shows EX2 as the mail server. How can we change this???

Hi Neokw, Once you configure outlook profile, it directly talk with CAS server not the mailbox server, here its looking that you have installed HUB,CAS,MBX role on Ex1 and Ex2. i am correct ??. In this situation, outlook will show CAS server in outlook, whetehr its EX1 or Ex2 (If not been used CAS Array). Please correct me if i understood your ENV correctly. Anil

hi Anil, Let me explain the infrastructure: location 1: CAS - Server 1 TH,MBX - Server 2 Location 2: CAS - Server 3 TH,MBX - Server 4 So my mailbox is created on Server 2 but when i configure outlook client, it is automatically pointing to Server 3 if you say CAS is the point of contact.

You mention two locations, I'm assuming you have defined these two location subnets in AD sites and services?James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
