Attempt to setup shared exchange 2003 server gone horribly wrong - please help
Hello. I believe I have caused some issues with our exchange 2003 server in my attempts to setup a shared exchange server. The problems seem to have occoured when I was messing with the security right of the global catalogs. I thought I was following the steps correctly outlined in this article. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Shared_Hosting_Exchange_2003_Part1.html http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Shared-Hosting-Exchange-2003-Part2.html But now my users are unable to create calendars items and cannot access the global address list. I have returned the rights to the global catalogs but allow the rights to be inherited again and the OU's, restarted exchange and nothing seems to make any difference. The outlook complains that the connection to the exchange server is unavailable however email flows fine. Any ideas of what I might have changedthat isstill restricting people from seeing the address books? Thanks Sam

The articles mention changing permissions on GAL not on Global Catalogs.Do you mean you changed permissions on Global Address Lists? If not, what did you change on Global Catalogs? Do you see any errors in Event Viewer? What are the errors?
