Attachments in Exchange 2007
Our company has recently moved to an exchange server. Everything seems to be ok. However, It seems that at time we send PDF's to clients or Other types of attachments. It seems clients can't open the attachments. I have checked the message format in outlook and it is set to HTML. I have sent the same files to multiple outside clients (Yahoo, SBC, Hotmail) and the attachment seesm to work fine. However some clients state that they can't read attachments. Any help on this. Steve

Steve, If you can send the same files to some external addresses and they are fine, it sounds like the issue is at the client's end. Did you always send them PDFs in the past? What error message are they actually getting on their end? Dave

It seems in some cases that the client gets no attachment at all. I went through our exchange server logs and discovered this on the Message Tracking ContentConversion I think exchange either removed the attachment or converted it or something and the client doesn't get it. Can this be turned off ? Is this something I can change in Exchange. Thanks for you help Steve

Hi Steve, I am dealing with what sounds like the same problem in my new installation of Exchange 2007. Were you able to reach any resolution with this particular problem or did you find a workaround that helped? Thanks, Gavin
