Attachments disappear from email msg AFTER they have been read.
Hi, we are running Outlook XP SP2 and Exchange 2003. We have one user who receives emails from one user outside of the firm. The emails have Word Documents attached to them. He can open the message, see the attachment and double-click to open the attachment. However, after a couple of minutes, the attachment disappears from the email message. we have tried repairing Outlook, recreating his local profile and even forwarding the message to another user to see if we can get the attachment back, but nothing has worked? Does anyone have any clue as to what might be going on? Liz

Hi, Did you test this issue in OWA? Whether this issue could be reproduced? Thanks Allen

If this user logs on to another PC and you create a mail profile for him there, does the problem follow him, or is it only on the original PC? You might want to check whether any Outlook plugins have been installed on that PC. There are variety of Outlook plugins I have seen which do attachment processing/stripping.
