Attachment fail to open,corrupt
Sender from pchome.com.tw sent an email withattachment to our site using webmail(mail.pchome.com.tw). We has third party mail hosting. Our site use exchange SBS2k3(POP3 connector) to retrieve email fromour hosting. Then client use outlook to connect exchange.Email was readablebut not attachment.Either the file are blank or not able to open.Sender has sent multiple attachment(different extension)it still fail to open. Its not about security blocking. It's look like the attachment is corrupt. Even I have try to use the OWA to open it, it still the same.If the email was read using our hosting webmail, it has no problem. After email pass thru our exchange, the attachment was unable to open. If I use outlookto receivethe mail directthru our hosting(not thru exchange), the attachment still able to open. But if I use exchange to retrieve and open in outlook then the attachment will fail to open. Thats only i suspect it could be the SBS exchange having problem. It not happen only to one recipient account. And only sender from pchome.com.tw will experience this problem. Other like hotmail, gmail, yahoo doesn't seem to have same problem. Another possibilty is the Trend Micro CSM 3.0. Email been scan by TM CSM. Ihave try tostop the trendmicro servicesanddo thetest again. The attachment stillfail. I also turn off the IMF and still failed. *Unless the sender send using outlook thenthe attachment are able to open.sender(webmail) --> our hosting --> our exchange --> recipient (outlook) Is there any problem with the encoding in the exchange server? any solution?Thank for any suggestion...
