Hi all,
I have one client that they only have one Exchange 2007 server that has all roles installed (CAS, HUB and mailbox).
Now, they are asking for the DR site solutions: When this Exchange server is down, users should be able to access the mails.
I am thinking about standby cluster replication solution. not sure whether they can use SCR since they do not have cluster in the
production server right now.
What's the best approach to have some DR solution?
Thank you.

Hi John,
Don't worry for they don't have a cluster. You may go for LCR Clustering. Local continuous replication (LCR) is a single-server solution that uses built-in asynchronous log shipping and log replay technology to create and maintain a copy of a storage group
on a second set of disks that are connected to the same server as the production storage group.

Thank you.
They have the DR site that is different location than the production site.
I guess that I cannot use LCR.
Any other options?

Hiya,
Yes - they should be able to use SCR. SCR
is not dependent on a CCR or SCC cluster . The activation (and failback) process (which relies on database portability) should be considered when designing the solution,
though.

Hi again,
LCR works on the same computer in which you runs CAS, HUB and mailbox. This will enable DR of the exchnage.
