Are these same OS?
Hi all,
I need to build SCR target. The source EXchange 2007 server has Windows 2003 SP2, not R2.
Can I use Windows 2003 R2 for the SCR target since the SCR requies OS to be at the same level?
Thnak you.

Hi,
The Answer is yer for you for the OS related, but for SCR node installation you need to have Exchange 2007 SP1 or later installed on Source server and Destination server as well.
Please go-through the below link to know the OS supported details:

Please go-through the below link for Planning of SCR node:

Each target can have multiple source servers. Both the source and the target system must be running Exchange 2007 SP1. The operating system can be
any operating system supported by Exchange 2007 SP1 (for example, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2003); however, all SCR target computers must be running the same operating system as their SCR source computer.
Using different operating systems for an SCR source and its targets (for example, where the SCR source is Windows Server 2003 and the SCR target is Windows Server 2008, or vice versa) is not supported.Ravi | Messaging Specialist.
