Archive Quota Warning not Triggering
I have been driving myself crazy for about a month with this, and cannot find anyone having a similar issue. Exchange 2010 SP1 Rollup 6 I have some of our user's Archive enabled, and the archive resides in it's own database. My problem is that when I run let's say 'Get-MailboxStatistics -Identity 'user' -Archive' i see that the StorageLimitStatus says "BelowLimit" , when in reality it should say "IssueWarning". The Events in the log are triggering correctly as follows, so I am stumped : The archive mailbox 'User:ac0969f6-388b-4d0a-96dd-ad26ce5103aa:CorpArchiveDatabase:server.corp.com' exceeded the archive warning quota '7.813 GB (8,388,608,000 bytes)'. Archive mailbox size is '8492481382' bytes. Anyone have any ideas??

Hi mysticeye2121, I made a similar test in my lab and same result as yours(Exchange 2010 SP1 RU6 & SP2 RU1). I'm researching the issue and will update it soon.Thanks. Hi mysticeye2121, Sorry for delaying response. As I know, Archive warning quota is not used by store. So the status won't be changed(and when the archive mailbox goes over the archive warning quota setting, the user doesn't get a warning mail. ). The issue is fixing at the moment. I need to double confirm the above statement.Frank Wang TechNet Community Support

Could be related to the SP1 change with quota warnings. I would assume that this would also apply to archive mailboxes as well. But to confirm see if your quota limits are configured as below. "if the warning quota is set to a value that is less than 50 percent of the Prohibit Send quota, the mailbox size can be over the warning quota limit but still not over 50 percent of the Prohibit Send quota. In this case, the mailbox is not checked to see whether it has exceeded its threshold, and the mailbox does not receive a quota warning message. " Users do not receive quota warning messages after you apply Service Pack 1 for Exchange Server 2010 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2480474 James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

I wish that were it. I ran through that fix a while back with no results. This is very strange.................

I have also been experincing the same issue with Online Archive Quota Warnings. I initally had the issue with the Mailbox but KB2480474 fix resolved that, but alas it didn't resolve the Online Archive Quota Warnings. I have also found that the Archive Full email will only occur once. Has there been any resolution to these issue yet?
