Any way for Outlook to use an cert for S/MIME that is already in the windows cert store of the workstation?

Seems odd that you can't have Outlook allow you to pick from the certs in your windows cert store?  (Unless I'm just not finding the documentation on it?).  Everything I'm seeing has you export the cert from the store via the MMC.  Really?  It would seem to make sense to be have an option to pick from certs in your windows workstation cert store.

'Key Usage' and 'Extended Key Usage' on the cert need to be blank, or 'key usage' needs to have "Digital Signature" and 'Extended Key Usage' needs to say "Secure Email".  If not, going through Trust Center, you will not see the cert that is in your workstation store (issue I was having).
