An internal component is not responding
Hello, When installing Exchange 2007 on a freshly installed low-spec Windows 2003server, I get this error at the final step of the installation. Mailbox Role - FailedError:An error occured. error code was 3238230409 message was an internal component is not responding..Elapsed Time: 00:21:30 TheMailbox Roleprogress bar was maybe 40/50% filled. First time I installed Exchange on the machine the installation seemed to go quicker and I had no problems. 2nd and 3rd times after formatting and reinstalling the server, the above error occured. I cant uninstall. I cant reinstall. However, Exchange seems to still work... Could anybody advise on the possible downsides of continued usage?

Solution to create a successfull installation of Mailbox Role, as advised by Jack Linssen: 1. Through add/remove, run Exchange 2007 maintainance mode, check the Mailbox Role and continue. 2. Open TaskManager and kill LODCTR.exe when ever it consumes high cpu time for prolonged time. 3. Observe that install fails with a different error, and restart maintainance mode. 4. Should now complete with no errors. For a more in-detailed fix, see http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=753732&SiteID=17. With this, the install completed in approx 5 mins, as opposed to the origional 20 mins where it failed.
