An error occurred when validating the Active Directory logon credentials.  Try entering a different set of credentials.  ExBPA
I am trying to run ExBPA and am getting the following error when trying to run a new scan: An error occurred when validating the Active Directory logon credentials. Try entering a different set of credentials. I have successfully ran several scans previously. Other things I discovered while tryign to research the BPA issue: 1. Is there supposed to be a Exchange Admin security group in AD? 2. Are my Exchange servers supposed to be in a security group called Exchange Domain Servers? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Don

Some ideas in no particular (dis) order: * What version of Exchange? I'm assuming NOT 2013 since you are talking about ExBPA and that is no longer part of Exchange (2013). So either 2007 or 2010 probably. As for questions 1. and 2., I believe both are normal but I don't know what your version is. I think one group might be called Exchange Install Domain Servers in fact? * Otherwise... when you open the EMC, can you make sure you use "Run As" and open as Admin - even if you are logged on as an admin? Can you open the EMS and run this command: Test-ServiceHealth Just to make sure all required services (like the AD Topology Service) are running. Does Exchange seem to function correctly otherwise? Please mark as helpful if you find my contribution useful or as an answer if it does answer your question. That will encourage me - and others - to take time out to help you.

Hi Le Pivert, Yes, that is correct, I am running 2010. I ran Test-ServiceHealth. and everything checks out fine including AD Topology. I ran EMC as Admin, but still get the same error. Please advise. Thanks for your help, Don
