An attached e-mail message is blank when you view the message in Outlook in an Exchange Server 2003
I have excactly that problem, withExchange Server 2003 Enterprise.http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/899475/en-usYou receive an e-mail message that has an attached e-mail message in Microsoft Outlook. When you view the attached message, the message is blank. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:This occurs when that account has: A rule that automatically forwards the received message is configured in Outlook.Existsanysolution? Any patch?Workarround on incedence is: Do not use an event sink on the Exchange store. Do not use a rule that automatically forwards messages in Outlook. Use a non-MAPI client to receive and forward messages. But I don't know what exactly I have to do with first and last options. How to not use an event sink on Exchange Store? How to don't use a non-MAPI client, if rule is implemented on exchange Server? Thanks

Thanks for your answer. The problem occurs when a mail arrives to an account, and the mail has an attachment that is another mail, and the account has an autoforward rule active. This behavior occurs for allaccounts on my system (I have tested on some), if autoforward rule is active. Also, if the mail has two internal receipts, and one of them has the autoforward rule, the attachment arrives bad in both accounts.I have not seen any event sink related with this behavior. I have testedwithout antivirus, and it also fails. The problem is on exchange server. The rule is programed with outlook. The attachment is corrupted with outlook and with owa, because the attachment has been corrupted when autoforward rule acts (I suppose). This behavior occurs on all exchange 2003servers, or only on mine? Is there any patch to resolve this? How can I apply any workarround, that allow me to use autoforward rule?Regards

Hi,According to the KB899475, the issue was encountered when all theconditions are true. In other words, not only Autoforward ruleis active, but also other conditions also exist on your environment so that cause this issue. Thus, please check again whether the the event sink exists.ThanksAllen

Hi,I don't know how to check it. I was confused about event sink, I thougt it was the autoforward rule. I see some references in Internet, something on DCOM+, but I don't know what to check. Please, tell me how to do it.Thanks

Hi Allen, Thanks for your help, I'll try that, but I'm sure they will ask me for an active support contract, that was the reason I asked at forum. Thanks anyway.
