Allowing other user to see inbox of another user Win 2008r2 Exchange
Hi all, hope this is correct forum for this query. I am trying to give one of my users on our 2008SBS exchange email, ( I'm running win 2008r2 Hyper V TS,) access to our company's main office email inbox etc, I know you can temparlary open another users folder, but where in Exchange SBS management console, does one do this, I gather it is under option of the console "Receiptant configuartion"? Mail flow settings sof the user and delivery options, am I on right track here? As what I have tried doesn't work. Thanks Phil http://www.pmassociates.com.au/

Hi Phil, We are not able to add permission on folder level in EMC, it is by design. To grant permission from server side (Exchange 2010), we may run the cmdlets below: Set-MailboxFolderPermission -id executive@yourdomain.com:\Inbox -user Delegate -Accessrights Editor all the best :) Fiona

Hi Phil, In Exchange 2003, it is recommended to use Outlook client to grant permission. As an administrator, you may add full mailbox permission in Exchange 2003. to do this: Launch ADUC/User/User properties/Exchange Advanced/Mailbox Rights. Hope it is helpful. Fiona

Hi Fiona, sorry I wasn't clear with post about 2003, I actually meant 2008 was just different to 2003, as that was easier to share email folders between users, I haven't had time to try your advice on 2008, but I can follow it. Thanks again for your asistance. I will post back if I need anymore help. Cheers Philhttp://www.pmassociates.com.au/
