Allowing a single user to recieve more then the maximum size quota on the recieve connector
Hello I am currently running exchange 2007 and was wondering if there is an easier way to allow one user to receive more then the default maximum size quota on the recieve connector. As the default is currently set to 10 MB and I need that email account to be able to receive up to 50 MB I have read that I can increase the maximum size quota of the send connector to 50 MB and then individually set the users mailboxs to 10 MB. Thanks!

That'd be the way to do it. Based on the size set for the receive connector it advertises the SIZE verb with that value I believe... a sending MTA with a message larger than that which speaks ESMTP won't even try to deliver the message if it is larger (to see if some individual user might have another limit), the advertised limit is assumed to be the server maximum.
