Allowing Anon Users on Default Receive Connector in EX2007
I have a question for you all. I am relatively new at setting up the routing of Exchange 2007.I have a customer for which we have set up an environment consisting of two Client Access Servers, two Hub Transport servers and a group of Mailbox servers. This customer uses many different clients. Most of them connect through either POP/IMAP currently to their existing sendmail environment. We are migrating them to Exchange 2007. I need to set Exchange to accept POPS/IMAPS connections from these clients.Currently if I try and connect a client to an Exchange mailbox using IMAP/SMTP servers I cannot send. This is because the default receive connector Default <Servername> is not configured to accept Anonymous users. My question here is: is it advisable to enable Anonymous User access on this connector? Currently the allowed users are Exchange Users, Exchange Servers and Legacy Exchagne Servers. These are the default settings.Advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!Josh

Hi, I would create a new receive connector and give the pop3 users anon access and well as allow relaying from the IP addresses where the connections come from. Leif
