I have installed Office 2013 but I can't get any of the apps to work (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc) all crash regularly and restart every 5-10 min

According to your description, please try these:

1. Start Office Apps with safe mode and check the result. (e.g. click run and type outlook.exe /safe )

If it is normal in this situation, disable add-ins(File->Options-> Add-ins).

2. Temporarily turn off security programs / firewall and check the result.

3. Repair Office and check the result:

• Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
• Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.
• Click Repair > Continue. You might need to restart your computer after the repair is complete.

4. Test in Windows Clean boot.
