All emails suddenly moved to deleted items
Just today I had 3 reports of all emails, no matter what folder they were in (sent items, Inbox, or custom folder) were suddenly in the deleted items folder. This is on Windows XP SP3 running outlook 2003. This did not just affect the exchange mailbox but also any personal or archive folders they may have had. The emails were moved to each individual deleted items folder. I ran a full antivirus scan using Symantec endpoint but foundnothing.I checked their rules and archive settings and found nothing that could do this. Has anyone seen this? Can anyone shed some light on what happened here?

Hi,First I'd like to if all the user have this issue,or just one person.Since it is a outlook side issue, then I recommend you to try to create anew profile and then synch OST file with Exchagne Server again. Besides, we can also try to create the new outlook profile for the problematic useron a normal outlook computer and then test the issue. How to create and configure an e-mail profile in Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918Switch to another Outlook e-mail profilehttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP052423751033.aspxRegards,Xiu

Out of around 700 users only 5 people seemed to have been affected. So far the event has not repeated. For those 5 people, when they came in that morning and turned on their outlook they found that all emails from the previous week and back, had all vanished and were found in there deleted items. The odd part is, that emails from this week were still were they were supposed to be. The only common groundI have found is the version of outlook (outlook 2003) and the operating system (Windows XP SP3). For one of the usersI uninstalled outlook 2003 and installed outlook 2007. So far the event has not repeated, soI do not know if that is a possible solution.
