After using Exmerge
I am running Exchange 2003 Server on Windows Server 2003. I recently used "exmerge" to export my mailboxes which seemed to go successfully. However, I was looking at the .psts that it created and they are all the same size, 32kb. Is this normal? Thanks, Peggy

No it is not normal. That means that ExMerge is not running correctly. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292509 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/867503 If ExMerge is running properly than you should have the .PST size what the Mailbox size.Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Skype: Gulab.Mallah | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.blogspot.com

It's strange.. there is one mailbox that has a different size and it is no longer in the System Manager under mailboxes. Does that mean that one worked? Also.. the user that I am using to run Exmerge is part of a group that has the "send and recieve." Although, when I view Administrator's rights it shows it denied. Please advise. Thanks.

yes, even if you are administrator you would need to grant yourself "SEND AS" and "Recieve AS" access on the mailbox. you may want to set up a group like "Exmerge users" and delegate access on to this security group. add all helpdesk users to this group so that they can do these tasks http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292509 Dhruv
