After upgrade to Exchange 2013 Shared mailbox Inbox searched results flags not updating

Hi,

We have installed Exchange 2013 (migrated from 2007), Clients using Outlook 2010.

We use shared mailboxes and users search the Inbox to select relevant emails and then work on them and update flags on those emails. Since upgrading to 2013 the updates of the flags and not showing (although if you redo the search they are updated).

This issue only seems to occur in non cached mode (which we have to have set due to our Citrix setup).

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

The difference between online mode and cached mode here is that in online mode, Exchange provides the search results, where in cached mode Outlook does.  Your result suggests to me that the MicrosoftExchangeFastSearch service isn't working properly.  If you run this command with the name of the server where the database is mounted:

Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus -Server Mailbox_Server_Name

you can see if the search index is healthy on the mounted database copy.

Hi,

Status for this comes back as Healthy.

The search results come back fine. It is just when the flags, etc are changed it does not refresh unless you do another search. It is very strange. Works ok in cache mode but we run a Citrix environment and this is not possible.

Work in Exchange 2007 but we recently upgraded to Exchange 2013. Clients still using Outlook 2010.
