After migration to Exchange 2013 - no outlook client can conect

we upgraded from 2010 to 2013 sp1

as of right now the 2010 is still up but everthing has been migrated from it

the server 2013 is sitting on is 2012r2

the issue I beleve is that rpc over http proxy was not installed till after exchange was installed and running

no clients can conect via any outlook

i have tried may things as changing auth in iis and disabling ssl ...

all i can find online does not seem to be working as i can seem to find this very secefic issue

here is the error given

"Cannot start microsoft outlook. cannot open the outlook window. the set of folders cannot be opened. you must connect to mickrosoft exchange with the current profile before you can sync your folders with your outlook data file(.ost)"

though i have recived other errors and and one point it was asking me to login but that failed everytime i was able to get that message

let me know if any other info is required... also owa and remote devices ie iphone ect all work fine including sending and receving messages
