After editing Exchange 2007 Email address Policy and then applying mailboxes still have old addresses
Like the subject line says. We have 3 domains that are no longer needed, but were originally part of our Email address policy. I have edited the policy and applied it, and removed the domains from Accepted Domains lists. However, even though my mailboxes are set to Automatically update e-mail addresses based on e-mail address policy, the older addresses are still showing up on each mailbox. I'd rather not go into each mailbox to remove the old addresses if possible as there are quite a few. Cheers, SJSteve J.

Hi, That is by design. Changing an emailaddress policy and/or delete an accepted domain will never delete old proxyaddresses on the recipients. There are several ways you can script the removal and personally I like Lasse Petterssons script. Hi Steve, You can also try to use ADModify to bulk modify email address for end users.
