After Service Pack 1 update on Windows 7 having problem with attachments
After installing Windows 7 service pack 1 on my computer when I add attachments to an email they insert into the body of the email as a thumb nail instead of the attachment line. I am running Office 2007 and have never had problems before until I put the upgrade in. I seen this same problem years ago with an XP upgrade and they put a patch out for it can't find one. We tested to see if the reciepient is getting it in the attachement line or body of the email with two people, they all received it in the attachement line below the subject. I have tried diagnostics, looked for patches this is irratating becasue I send allot of contract documents etc and I not sure what is coming thorugh on the other end.

Is outlook using Rich Text as the message format? If so, the attachment will be in the body. Try changing the message format to HTML or plain text and it will show right below the subject line.Tim Harrington | MVP: Exchange | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010, MCITP: Server 2008, MCTS: OCS | Blog: http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com | Twitter: @twharrington

Hi, Agree with Tim. Please confirm whether you are using Rich Text as the message format. You can also use OWA to send an email and check whether this issue will occur or not? If this issue not occurred on the email you send from OWA, this may issue on the Outlook. I suggest you ask the question in Outlook forum: Outlook IT Pro Discussions http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlook/threads Thanks, Evan Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
