Hi
1. Recommended domain name. Example. corp.domain.com
In this case, the server will be called. Example. servername.corp.domain.com.

Hi Jcpeterman,

Thank you for your question.

Did we open EMS on Exchange server?

We could refer to the following steps to check if SSL certificate is missing:

  1.        Go to IIS and navigate to Exchange BackEnd
  2.        Right click Bindings on Exchange BackEnd
  3.        Choose https and click Edit
  4.        If you see Not Selected , then we could click select
  5.        Then we could choose the certificate you want to bind

Then, we could check if there are any errors in application log.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

Well thank you. Not fixed but it was comforting to see IIS recognized I had installed Exchange. I did not see Not Selected rather I saw IP Address * (Not Assigned) there is null Host Name and null Binding information.

When I enter the host name of my server Internet Explorer complains about the certificate then takes me the IIS Webpage.

One thought I had was I installed this using remote desktop connection from another server. Could it think the user name is attached to that server and not the host?

I wish I knew more about this and appreciate your help.

Hi jcpeter,

we could delete administrator Window profile to check if the issue persist:
