Aero flip during bootup
Here's a weird and wonderful problem. Upon bootup, without any programs hauled up, when the wallpaper / icons is present, suddenly the screen goes black and then returns to normal. It seems to be exactly like when one runs a program that is not *aero* compatible ... that blacks out the screen and then returns to normal. I've Vista Home Premium and nothing new installed. Last evening this problem reared its head and I'm wondering what ever is making it do this. All helps will be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm thinking you'll get a better response in a different forum, this one is for Exchange Server....

Does it only happen right after startup? I'm thinking you're having a hardware issue (i.e. your video card or monitor are failing). Check your connections. I'd also check your display settings to confirm you're within in normal operating ranges for your refresh rate. Maybe reinstall your monitor driver too...

Display settings are A-OK ... a reinstall of the monitor driver might be an idea. If this rig suddenly is engulfed in flames, I'm assume that there was an overload somewhere in the video card or in the dilithium crystal. Thanks for the response.

I get this with ATI video card drivers when the CCC loads.

AndyJG ... have you ever been given a fix for it? Also, has it been there with you from the beginning or did it start sometime after you had your computer?
