Administrator does not have Exchange Administrator rights
Hello; I am trying to use the Windows SBS 2008 console to configure fax services and logged on as administrator but every time I click on Start The Fax Service I get this exact message "Administrator Administrator does not have Exchange Administrator rights". I have searched the web for days and come up with the same solution that does not work which is: Open AD, go into the Administrator account and change the primary group from from Domain Admins to Domain Users. This is already set to Domain Users on all the Admin accounts and I do not understand why the program is trying to connect to exchange or why and Administrator of the machine does not have Administrative rights.

You should ask this in an SBS newsgroup because I believe what you're asking about is an SBS component.-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.". Hello,These are the full steps..did you tried all these? Open AD Users & Computers > double click the <Admin User name> you are logged on as Select the Member Of tab Verify the Primary Group attribute. If the Primary Group is set to Domain Admins then you'll need to change it Domain Users. Within the Member of list box, highlight the Domain Users group and click the Set Primary Group button. You should now be able to run the wizards without error. Regards from http://www.windowsadmin.info/
